Postpartum acupuncture in Bristol

The transition from pregnancy to postpartum can be surprisingly jarring. Suddenly, the focus shifts from you and your bump, to your baby and it can be easy for mum to become an afterthought.

Postpartum can bring anxiety, low mood, rage, sleep difficulties, breastfeeding or lactation issues and the physical demands of recovering from birth. Postpartum acupuncture offers you a chance to pause, be listened to and receive personalised support during this huge period of change.

Baby-friendly postnatal acupuncture

At The Healing Space, your baby is always welcome. My Bristol acupuncture studio has space for a Moses basket and changing mat, so you can bring your baby along to your appointment.

Appointments are made slightly longer to allow for feeds, cuddles and the unpredictability of having a baby. If your baby is happy in the basket, we can get on with your treatment. If they need to be held, your acupuncture treatment can be adapted using distal points away from where you are holding your baby.

Your initial consultation takes place over Zoom, allowing us to talk through your pregnancy, birth and current wellbeing from the comfort of your own home. This means your time at The Healing Space can be focused on your treatment.
